IP PHYSIO LTD ("IP PHYSIO", "we", "us" or "our") uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies on our website. This notice explains what they are, why we use them, and how you can manage them.
This Cookie Notice should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains more broadly how we handle your personal information.
At a glance
Our own website uses no non-essential cookies. Our appointment booking system (Cliniko) sets a session cookie when you use it, which is essential to that service. Some pages also include optional third-party content, such as maps, patient reviews, and video, which only loads if you choose to view it or accept it via our cookie banner. We do not use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to sell your data.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as embedded videos, maps and scripts from other websites, can achieve comparable effects, including setting their own cookies in your browser. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this notice.
Cookies may be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
2. How we use cookies
Our own website
Our website itself does not set any cookies for tracking, analytics, advertising or personalisation. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tool.
We self-host the fonts used on our website, rather than loading them from a third-party font provider, so that visiting our site does not unnecessarily share your IP address with an external company.
Our appointment booking system
When you use our online booking widget, our practice management provider, Cliniko, sets a session cookie to support that booking process. This is strictly necessary to provide the booking service you are actively requesting, and does not require separate consent under UK privacy law.
Optional third-party content
Certain pages on our website can display optional content hosted by other providers, such as an embedded map, our patient reviews, or a video. This content is not loaded automatically. It only loads if you click to view it, or if you have given consent via our cookie banner, and each of these providers may then set their own cookies in your browser.
We do not currently use any cookies that require consent on our own systems. If this changes, we will update this notice accordingly.
3. Cookies and content on our site
The table below sets out what is used, by whom, and when:

4. Third-party providers
The optional content on our website is provided by:
- Google Maps, used to display interactive maps of our clinic locations
- Doctify, used to display verified patient reviews of our services
- YouTube (in privacy-enhanced, "no cookie" mode), used to embed educational video content
These providers may process cookie data in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review. Where a provider is based, or processes data, outside the United Kingdom, the safeguards described in Section 7 of our Privacy Notice apply.
Our appointment booking system, Cliniko, is also a third-party provider, but is treated separately in Section 2 as it delivers a service you actively request rather than optional content.
5. Managing your cookie preferences
On your first visit, you will see a cookie banner explaining that our site uses essential cookies to operate, and that some pages include optional content that only loads with your consent. You can:
- Accept optional content, so maps, reviews and video load automatically going forward
- Reject, in which case optional content stays hidden behind a click-to-load placeholder until you choose to view it individually
Your choice is stored on your device so you are not asked again on future visits. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our website, which reopens this banner.
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View the cookies stored on your device and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block cookies from particular sites
- Block all cookies from being set
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser
Please note that if you choose to block or delete cookies, some parts of our website, such as maps, reviews or video, may not display correctly.

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies or third-party content we use, or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The most recent version will always be available on our website.
